Currently, I'm working on another prompt fill to save a couple of Sledgefu prompts that are just too pretty to be abandoned to the LLSS Great Purge of 2020. Only problem is I'm kicking around three or four prompts to fill, having not been able to choose one, but none feel quite right... sigh

I also have a BabeRoe that I'm working on for Took, but I keep getting distracted by others WIPs that are less time pressing. Such is the burden of a writer, I suppose.

I feel this spiritually.

I have two GK fills started but they're not jiving quite the way I want them to. Plus I have the fanart fill I need to do since Mucca was sweet enough to write me a comic script~

Considering that I managed a totally uncharacteristic three fills for this extended Theme Week I think I might just try to sew up the comic and gracefully step away from the others in favor of trying to make a little progress on some of the longer pieces I'm hoping to finish this year.

That sounds like a mature move.

I think my problem with the fills I'm attempting is I can see them playing out beautifully plot wise, I just don't think I have the right voice for the characters. So then I try to reason that I'm pushing myself and growing as a writer, when really I'm simply producing mediocre fics.

I'll keep poking and prodding at them for a bit, but you're definitely right that at some point, it's okay to step away. We'll see...
