BoB - Johnny/Bull Period-Typical Crossdressing

I'm doing a Bull/Johnny fic for this weeks picture_prompt_fun prompt, in which they get volentold to be in the Aldbourne Christmas Pantomime, and end up crossdressing. It wasn't going to be smut, but now of course, being me...

Anyway, here's a non-smutty bit:

"I guess she had in mind that it'd be funny," Bull said again. He sighed, not really wanting to spell it out but tired of Johnny's nerves just the same. "You know, big fellow like me in a dress? Ha Ha. And you was talking out of turn before. We'll just haveta be Laurel and Hardy for a couple nights."

"Oh," Johnny stopped and looked at Bull. He was still scowling but at least he wasn't making Bull dizzy just watching him. Their NCO's billet had all of five feet of free space, and Johnny had just about covered that twenty times. "No one oughta laugh at you," Johnny snapped.

"Y'all laugh at me all the time," Bull pointed out. So did Bill, and half the company really. Bull made sure to cultivate a placid, easy going persona with a broad stroke of hayseed thrown in. It made things easier if people got what they expected looking at him.

"Yeah, but I'm allowed," Johnny said. He stepped into the space between Bull's spread knees and bumped his face against Bull's like a cat.

Baaawww, this is so cute! I love Johnny being gently protective of Bull, and I think we all know that I'm here for crossdressing porn if and when it gets to that point.

Since I need to cool my heels on the two Sledgefu pieces I'm currently trying to work out, how about a snippet from what started as my Spook-Me submission but has transformed into a "whenever I can get to it Webgott Dracula AU"? This is the part where Webster meets one mister R. M. Renfield, concierge at a London B&B:

“Pardon, pardon!”

The nasal cry echoed around the bend halfway up the staircase, followed in immediate succession by another couple of creaking footfalls and a thin, gangly man in a threadbare suit several years out of fashion.

“Pardon!” he said again, when he spotted David loitering at the intake desk. “My apologies, sir. I’ve just been upstairs tidying.”

His sandy hair was thinning at the crown of his head and there was a sallow tone to his waxy complexion which, in combination with the dark hue of his wardrobe and his spindly build, made the man look like a caricature of an undertaker. This strange seeming was almost jarringly offset by the pleasant spread of his grin and the meek hunch of his shoulders as he hurried his way to the desk, ducking a little bow to David as he passed.

“Ah,” he sighed as he circled around, shifting the guest book out of the way and splaying his fingertips against the dark wood surface. He was wearing neat white gloves, which struck David as not only an anachronistic fashion oversight but comically foppish. He managed by remarkable exertion of willpower to refrain from smirking as the man continued primly, “There we are, sir. Now, how may I help you this fine afternoon?”

A sheet of rain lashed against the windows, as if to punctuate his reply. David darted a startled glance over to it and then back. The man remained still and smiling, eyebrows gently raised in expectation, as serene as though he hadn’t even noticed the rattling shutters.

It was a dark and stormy night, and someone's about to get bit in the neck.

I really like Renfield as the worrying concierge. That's a great fusion note. And Web's not noticing that he's 100% being lied to from like the first thing he says.

I have so many wips, honestly.
I have a fic I've been working on for a while now, a Brad/Ray where Ray get spanked. I actually started it three times and in the end I basically dropped the plot and took it from another angle. This is going a little better, and I was actually managing well for a bit, but then I got stuck. And so it's been sitting there for a while now.

I feel this spiritually, lol. I have started budgeting "reassurance checkpoints" into my beta-reading process because I routinely get stuck and need someone to tell me how to fix a thing and carry it forward. xD

I so appreciate when you tell me that something is good because you have no idea how much I rethink things! And now I got stuck in the middle- pre sex, so actually something that should be easy? but apparently not.

I'm trying to decide how much I want to push my solidifying headcanon that Bull's Arkansas thing is at least partly a persona. I've been playing with it a fair bit recently, but I don't think that's what the show intends.
