It's official, everyone! Heavy Artillery will be hosting a Band of Brothers rewatch for old fans, new fans, and anyone who might be interested!
Starting Saturday, October 26th, we'll be watching both episodes in order starting at 10 AM CDT*.
Since we have a handful of members across various continents, the current plan is to watch-along individually with discussion posts for each episode going live a half-hour before and a Discord chat open for participants at any time. While all are welcome to join in, you don't have to be available at the time of the watch-along to participate in the discussion posts or Discord chat. I encourage you to watch at your leisure with the assurance that fellow fans will be around to flail with you as your schedule allows.
If you're in the U.S., you can find Band of Brothers free to watch on Amazon Prime Video. If you're in Canada, you can find it streaming on Crave TV, and HBO Nordic has it for folks in Scandinavia (and possibly other European countries). At present there are no plans to livestream the episodes. If anyone has information about where to watch the show overseas, please let me know and I'll add it here.
*If you're not sure what time that is for you, you can check out the current time in CDT here and convert accordingly.

Date: 25/10/2019 11:56 (UTC)I know how busy life can get and also that we have people from, like, I think four continents at least who have expressed a desire to participate. I’ve played D&D for years and it’s a nightmare to align schedules just among people who are all in the same city, haha.
Hopefully we’ll see you around for a bit of it!

Date: 25/10/2019 14:31 (UTC)Aww, that's neat!
I'm a bit of a shut-in, so I don't go anywhere really, but my sleep schedule is really messed up (plus I just don't do Discord, mostly because of RSI issues). This sounds like it might be more like the old school LJ watchalongs! Those were very fun. (And thank you for doing it!)

Date: 25/10/2019 15:41 (UTC)Every episode will have its own dedicated discussion post here on Dreamwidth, and my intention is to keep the Discord chat as spoiler-free as possible, as well. Of course, people make mistakes sometimes so I can’t 100% guarantee that there won’t be slip-ups in a live chat but the goal is that it will be a spoiler-free space, and anyone who continually or maliciously tries to ruin the experience for anyone else will be booted.
Does that help?
