So yeah, last two Mondays have been so blah I've forgotten to post entirely! However, we speak so much of Monday being blah, that we forget entirely about Tuesday. So let's have some positivity for Tuesday!

Some starter ideas:

I think I saw those the other day when you were on the Degree Hunt, but I especially love the top one.

I mean, There're very few pics of Eddie around, and the contrast of backgrounds is one of the things I find so interesting about the pairing. And I guess a lot of wartime pairings, how people were thrown together like that, who would probably never have met otherwise.

I do find it interesting to think about the friendships that were struck up during wartime because so many men from so many different backgrounds and locales were brought together that otherwise never would have been. It's one of those funny things that makes me go, "What a world, huh?"

I can make a convincing AU where Bull and Johnny meet when Bull's working up north, or your Winnix 1930s college AU, but Andy and Eddie? Eugene and Snaf? WEBSTER AND LEIBGOTT!? No way.

Though I guess the place they might plausible of met was the other big social blender, the queer scene. But even then, that was often very class stratified, with the working stiffs going to the bars, and the wealthier people doing more house parties and social networking where it was safer. (As class tended to indicate you'd be an officer, but again not always.)

Webster joined up to understand the gritty war life and write about it... perhaps he'd pretend to be a SF cabbie to get to the bottom of something.

I just pictured an A Gentlemen's Agreement AU and laughed really, really hard.

Leib would flat out murder him.

ALSO it makes such a question of: Can the bonds forged when the military forced that kind of levelling survive when you're a civilian again? With varying difficulty levels depending on the pairing.

Though now I want the unhappy angst fic where Web slums it with Liebgott and you've also got me thinking about how to get Sledge and Snaf together without the military background. Hmmmm...

Ok, I need to talk about so many things!!!

First of all, THIS POST from Kaasknot that examines Roe's speech pattern and some of his behavior (comparing it also to Guarnere's and others) and it's amazing!!! Seriously, I'm gonna go back to this post everytime I'll have to write Roe until I finally feel I can write his voice without fucking it up.

Great, 10/10, I want more, please.

Second, this fic from Mucca: A Friend in Need which is a Lip/Tab I'm still thinking about after more than a week. It's just something in the details of Tab's behavior, it has me keep thinking and wondering what else could there be behind, THE POSSIBILITIES!!!

Thiird: some posts from Searchingforacircuitbreaker, one is this and another one is this. The first one is a picture from a deleted scene where they're all celebrating, and the second is a lil set with Nix and Dick are walking towards Speirs sprawled over the jeep. God does that makes me thirsty.
