Re: Part Ten [SPOILER-FREE]
Date: 08/02/2020 23:31 (UTC)I wondered at first why George was in full uniform when Lena arrived, but I guess he was awaiting orders too. Leckie's homecoming seemed underwhelming, but I guess he wasn't kidding about his family. Looks like he had more luck at his job.
I liked that moment where Snafu lets Eugene sleep before getting off the train. Funny how the three of them were able to be on the same train going home.
I'm assuming that Leckie's date with Vera goes well. I hadn't realized he'd never mailed the letters.
It was nice to see Sydney waiting for Eugene, and apparently with amazing news. I'll bet he missed his dog coming out to meet him as he walked up to the house.
I also noticed that the upholstery and the inside of the doors in Sydney's car did not look new the way they should have!
I like that moment between Leckie and Vera at the dining room table during prayer. Funny how all our TVs come from Asia now.
I saw Eugene's time "idle" as his way of reconnecting with the world so he could function in it again.
Looks like Burgie's Australian girlfriend did show up after all :) So that's who had been narrating!
