One happy thing for this week is that I'm currently reading an unrelated library book that I should finish in a couple of days and then I can get back to reading HBO War related books. My choices are Burgie's book, Shifty's, or Brotherton's A Company of Heroes. I've been saying for months that I'm going to read Shifty's book next but then I got distracted with The Pacific so I might just continue that trend and read Burgie's book.

The Ack Ack/Hillbilly feed is also alive lately which also makes me happy every time I receive a notification for it <3

Burgie's book has the problems we talked about, but I like the storytelling style, and it is good for details on what K/3/5 was like in Melbourne and on Cape Gloucester.

How was We Who Are Alive sad? Just everyone struggling after the war, or?

The new Andy/Eddie person is THE CUTEST. I just want to pinch their cheekses.

Yeah, I want to read it for the K/3/5 info rather than Burgie himself, which is probably a good thing. The Bill and Babe book made me uncomfortable at times (mostly Babe) but I'll expect it now.

No, it was mostly the part at the end which featured chapters written by the children of three men who'd already died (Luz, Sobel, and I think Burr Smith) which I found really sad. I think the one about Luz got to me the most, but I thought all three were emotional to read.
