Happy ~~prelude to~~ D-Day, friends! Even though we all know already that the historic launch is destined to be postponed because the Channel coast is socked in with rain and fog, we're celebrating the event that facilitated the creation of our beloved Easy Company by running a prompt fest. From today, June 5, 2020 until July 11, 2020, leave a prompt in the comments and gleefully await a fill from the fellow members of this comm!

While this fest is Band of Brothers exclusive, there's no minimum word count required, and you're welcome to post your fill either as a response to the prompt comment or to the collection on AO3. All works will be collected into a masterpost here on Heavy Artillery come July 12 when the deadline has passed, just like we did with our The Pacific Tenth Anniversary Comment Fest.

We'll close with a few rousing words from our dear regimental commander, Colonel Sink, to boost your morale and prepare you for the fight ahead:

Today, and as you read this, you are en route to that great adventure for which you have trained for over two years.

The hopes and prayers of your dear ones accompany you, the confidence of your high commanders goes with you. The fears of the Germans are about to become a reality.
