Naturally, it was Bill’s idea. Luz picked the movie—“Die Hard is totally a Christmas movie.” Gene supplied the hot chocolate, enriched with bourbon and topped with marshmallows. Toye plugged in the Christmas tree, decorated by Fran, the lights casting a ribboned-glow across the television.

Halfway through Die Hard 3 and their fifth (or sixth?) bourbon-and-cocoa, Babe fell asleep, slumped on the couch between Gene and Bill. His gentle snores caused a domino effect until one-by-one each man had fallen asleep.

When Fran returned that evening, the apartment was stuffed with sleeping boys, film credits rolling over the TV screen.

Being as I'm That Asshole who subjects my poor family to the entirety of the Die Hard oeuvre over the winter holidays because it's Totally A Christmas Movie, I extra love this~ Adorable as usual. Thank you for sharing!!

Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Full stop. We actually did an office poll last week and were split about 40-60 regarding whether or not it counts. But as you know, the folks in my office can be problematic. It counts. 100%.
