I discovered earlier today that it was Sledge's birthday (and Basilone's, much to my shame), which merited some sort of celebration. In my discussion of said celebration with muccamukk I realized that it would probably make sense to provide a list of The Pacific boys' birthdays and heights, since a bunch of us already threw together the same lists for the men of Easy Company, which you can find here.

And lo, we have done so. Thank you Mucca for your help.

For some reason I thought that Sledge/Mazzello was waaaay taller than 175 (and way taller than Snafu anyway). Possibly because he's so thin?

You and fandom both, bb, lol. Sledge is definitely what one might call "fuller figured" but that's because it was a requirement for the role that Rami Malek keep to some heinously low level of body fat. Presumably to lend to the sort of wild, unfed air he's rocking throughout most of the series.

I'm usually a giant slut for height differences but in this particular case I think it's really charming that they're basically the same size guy except that Snafu is a rangy fuck.

I keep forgetting that the MCs are all basically the Replacements in BoB's age. TINY BABYS. (Though the height/age difference between sledge and the officers is currently working out well for me)

I do actually want to watch the whole show now, once you do the rewatch. I wonder how long the library will let me hang onto these DVDs.

Yeah, they're all baby idiots, which makes understanding Leckie's (and Snaf's, and Sledge's, eventually) general attitude a little easier. It also throws into perspective, for me anyway, that Chuckler was probably actually not all that much of a shithead, which is not what one would generally assume of a guy who routinely got up to trouble with Robert Leckie. Glad the age difference is treating you so so right in the meantime, lol.
